Recommended training aids?

My 13 year old daughter started taking golf lessons about a year ago. She's doing well but she has a "flying" right elbow problem which causes her to hook the ball and it hardly comes off the ground a lot like topping the ball. What is the best training aid to help her cure this problem? The ones I've seen are the Izzo Smooth Swing/Medicus Arm Master type strap and other similar straps that you put on your arms to keep them together, the Calloway Connect which you put around your body and has a sleeve for your arm to keep it in close and a thing called the impact ball which you place between your forearms while you swing. Has anyone tried any of these and can you recommend one over the others? Or is there anything else you would recommend? I don't really like the club cover under the arm because I don't care if she keeps the arm close to the body or not, I just want her to get to where she points the elbow down instead of out.

Update:

Actually she has to be reminded to turn her body at all. She tends to swing with just her arms especially when she gets tired. Before she started golf she played a little bit of softball with her cousins who are pretty good baseball players. When she started golf she just started swinging the club like she swung the bat with her elbow high. Her instructor says it's a common problem especially for younger girls because they feel like that gives them more power. He didn't correct it for quite a while and it's become somewhat of a habit.

The problem I have with the head cover is keeping your elbow that close to your body isn't necessary or even good. I've looked at video of a lot of golfer's swings and none of them keep the elbow that close to the body. The do have their elbow pointed at the ground, but their arm is extended from their side. I don't want to teach her to keep her arm that tight to her body which is what the head cover technique tends to

Update 2:

I appreciate your advice on the impact ball. I really had questions about how effective that could be and I didn't see it as being anything other than how you describe it, a complete distraction.

Personally, I like the towel/headcover under the arm thing. It does the exact same thing as the Callaway system, it just costs a lot less. I've tried the impact ball, and that's not for me; feeling that ball between my forearms was too distracting (sounds weird, I know, because I'll swing with a towel in my armpit... golfers are finnicky). If you forced me to choose, though, I'd go with the Callaway setup, because it's similar to something that helped me improve.

Just a thought: is her elbow flying because she's trying to turn too far back? What I mean is, is she trying to get such a big swing arc- trying to eek out as much distance as possible- that the elbow comes out and messes up her spine angle, causing her to rise up at the top? That could explain the low shots and the hook- she could be trying to save it at impact by flipping her wrists ("cupping") which generally leads to shots hit low on the clubface. That low contact is guaranteed to create "worm-burners". The extra hand movement through the ball could be the cause of the hook, as well.

I don't know of too many pros who believe in any training aids. Practicing with a good coach and getting experience doing it the right way is the only way to create the muscle memory you need.

Don't waste money on anything in a golf catalog.
