I'm currently painting my 03 GSXR 600 and i removed the overflow tank, when i came back to it, the top tube was disconnected and i can't seem to find out where it connects to, any help?

Shouldn't connect to anything if it's an overflow tube, it should just dangle in a down, out of the way place.

Suzuki in their great concern over owners behavior printed an 'owners manual' that instructed you not to fill your fuel tank to the top and to stop an inch short or so as to not damage motorcycle finish nor paint.

In that display of great care and concern that owners might not read their careful instructions they provided a fuel tank with a fitting and hose just outside the fuel cap seal area with a small reservoir and attached hose to convey the errant fuel safely over mechanical components, fragile finish, and paint to the ground beneath the motorbike at errant fueling stops.

Source(s): So it's your fresh fragile new paint ....what are you going to do? But you do state "top" tube! Sitting on the rider's seat the 09 small reservoir exit is at 5:00 O-clock a 97 is at 6:00 the tank has an internal metal pipe to the bottom surface to find out which one of three tubes connect to the overflow reservoir blow low pressure compressed air threw different openings and hold your finger on and off the reservoir opening on the top of the tank noting different sounds finger on / off. (or reverse this and blow air from top to locate the one of three tubes below the tank)

    Hello

If it is the over flow tank then it will Connect to the top of the radiator normally right under the radiator cap.

It should hang down, to allow air to be taken in when the coolant level rises or decreases in the tank.

How you going to get the rest together without a service manual?

Source(s): Known fact gsxr never have service manuals lol.
