WEP is an obsolete system, discontinued about ten years ago as it can be hacked in minutes.

You should be using WPA2-PSK (also called WPA2 Personal) with AES encryption.

    The next best is WPA

Some routers have two different places you need to change a setting.

The first one is the page you make the changes & OK them.

The second is under Setup or something like that depending on make and model, an option to 'Save settings and Restart' or something similar.

With the types that have this two-stage procedure, any changes are lost when it reboots unless you do both stages.

If yours is not supposed to need the two stage setup, then most likely someone nearby is hacking it and changing the password - you urgently need to change it to WPA2 security.

(You ought to anyway for safety).

Login in router on 192.168.1.1 then type admin/admin as username/passwords and change password with something different as "54321ulove"
