College girl Longboard vs penny board?
I'm a girl 5"6 so I know that I don't want to be lugging a huge 42 inch board with me.
This would be my first board of any type so I'd like it to be under $90 because what if I hate it all together?
I'm getting this board for college so I guess I would like it to be able to cruise relatively well.
Any other girls or even guys that have advice for a newbie looking for a way to get around campus?
I guess any advice or links to board that you think might be good for me will be helpful

Longboarding is better if you're doing it as a sport, like skateboarding. I recommend a penny board because, as a student, they are relatively smaller and can fit into your bag (depending on how large your bag is) easily and are more lighter because of their size. Penny boards are also good for transportation and cruising(I'm assuming that is what you want). Longboards also, but like I said, they are mainly for sport and if you are planning to cruise in downhill areas.
Also, longboards tend to be really expensive(around $150-$230) while Penny boards are around a $95-$120 dollar range(depending on where you go to buy it, of course) for a complete set.
tl;dr I recommend a penny board
