Possibly this is a silly ?
I've always wondered what that little (almost looks like an eye) thing is that pops up
on the far right side of my password box the moment I start typing in my password?
I mean with so many privacy concerns these days, Is this something that should
concern me? Thank you for any insight as I am relatively new at this.

without seeing it, or understanding the context more, I can only guess.
It could be a toggle to show your letters/numbers as you type, or leave it blank / just show '*' for each typed character. ( hide / unhide as you type)
