Do you guys have a routine/schedule that you follow for your dogs?

Hello,

I want to make a routine for me and my dog , Brownie. Why? Because I have NO order. Please comment your schedule so I can get ideas on how to make mine. Like how many times of day do you walk your dogs? How many times do you guys shower your dogs?

Update:

By the way, he is an outdoor dog and it is a family dog and I am in high school right now from 6am-3 in the afternoon.

I wake up every morning at 6 a.m because that's when my dog whines to go potty and honestly I sometimes hate to do it but that's the responsibility of having a dog. Afterwards I feed her right after and give her water, and let her play with her toys, somewhere in the afternoon after I come home from work I take her out again on a small little walk so she can stretch her legs. Near late evening, I go out on a 30 minute walk. Sometimes I jog so she can potty again for the third time that day and get a little tired. I come in after our little excerice walk and start training her on basics like sit, lay, shake, high five with treats for about 5 to 10 mins and give her food and water again.

That's my little routine with my baby(:

    Hope I helped

Yes, I've had one for her since she was a puppy. You need to get one that fits your life/your dogs energy. Her schedule has adjusted as my life has changed/depending on my work schedule.

    Here's her current schedule:

I wake up at 4AM and take my dog on a walk(30 minute-an hour, depending on the weather and how her hips are feeling, lately on days with bad weather our walks are shorter).

At 5-5:30AM I feed her. At 5:40ish I take her outside again so she can relieve herself.

Then I go to work. About three-four hours after I leave for work someone comes over to take her outside again.

When I get home from work I take her outside again.

Then we do a thirty minute training session.

Then we just relax(At this time I usually go to the gym for 1-2 hours) I take her out every two-three hours when I'm home.

She gets fed her evening meal around 5PM.

At 7/8(When it cools down) I take her for another walk(again either 30 minutes-an hour)

At 9 I take her out again and then we go to bed.

She use to get a lot more activity but since I found out she has hip dysplasia her exercise has decreased. That's why depending on the weather her exercise amount varies. She'll be starting therapy soon(later this month).

She goes to the groomer twice a year(once every six months). I'll give her a bath sooner if she needs it and I brush her everyday.

As for routine-She sits/stays or does a down/stay before she gets fed and anytime before we go out. She does it without me telling her now.

I get up at 6:45 AM

after getting myself ready for work I take the dogs out for a walk around 7:15 AM.

I grab each of them a handful of food, fill their water bowls and go to work

I get home at 4 PM and take them both out for a walk immediately after getting hom

I then feed them their dinner at 4:15 PM and prepare my own meal.

after we are all done eating, usually around 5 pm I will work on my one dog's obedience training (hes new to the family) for about a half hour.. this also amuses my other dog for awhile cause he will do all the tricks as im telling them to the new dog.

at 6 PM I take them outside again and will play for around 15 minutes with both dogs outside..

after they get in..they are usually napping while I mess around on the computer or watch TV

at 9 - 10 pm Ill take them out one last time before bed.

Dogs should be bathed about once a month. Unless they tend to spend a lot of time outside. Then maybe a little more often.

    I walk them 4 times a day

    Feed them once a day

    bath them once a month

Flea treatment 5 days after bath (once a month)

heart worm meds on bath day.(once a month)

Brush them out once weekly (except for my Border collie during summer its more like 3 times a week)

Work on obedience once a day for about 1/2 hour

play time is about 15 minutes a day.. my BC I used to have to play with him for about an hour because they are high energy..but he is 13 now. so not much needed.
