Best Pokemon Red/Blue Team for Tournament?
I am probably going to a tournament that is holding a red/blue handheld tournament. yes i know its 2013 but the game that started it all how could i resist. I currently have all finally evolved forms of the orginal 151 at level 100 (no gameshark), because i used pokemon stadium stuff.
So what is the best team to use? basicly all my pokemon are strong enough and have quite good moves i just can not decide on what moves to or who to pick for a tournament style event
I would say my best team in fact would be
jolteon- thunderbolt thunderwave sandattack headbutt
blastoise- surf icebeam earthquake bodyslam
alakazam- psychic thunder,fire,ice punch
charizard- flamethrower earthquake fly bodyslam
dragonite- bodyslam thunderwave wrap surf
poliwrath- surf psychic earthquake sesmictoss
Please state your team you think would do well. Also note what moveset ( please no one say sludge bomb or aqua tail or something like that. Im talking GEN 1 MOVESONLY ).

I know this might not be the answer you're looking for, but smogon can answer this question much better than I can. I'm going to link you to a page that not only lists the most viable pokemon in the generation 1 metagame, but also contains their optimal movesets, counters, and strategies. Hope it helps!
