Serious hair damage, what should i do?
I am a black girl with very fine hair. It is a little past my shoulders and hangs down my back. I went to my hairstylist yesterday, something i do maybe once every 4-6 weeks and he told me my hair was extremely damaged. He explained it was only one particular layer that was really broken off but the top layer was fine. He continued to wash and condition it and he told me he added a sort of treatment to it and trimmed my ends. I saw how dry the damaged layer looked and there is even a patch broken off all the way at my ear. He told me wearing my hair in ponytails and buns really broke it off as well as heat but those are my go-to styles! If my hair is kinda bushy or frizzy i flat iron it and if i dont, i just throw it in a ponytail. I also sleep with it in a bun. I cant wear my hair out all the time because it is humidity sensitive and starts looking too wild after a while so what am i supposed to do? I googled this issue and someone recommended a deep conditioning treatment that i could buy but once again im faced with the same issue. If i put the product in through washing it I have to do something with it after it drys! Heat ruins it and i cant just wear it after it drys because itll look like a crazy fro. I also dont want to cut my hair. So my questions are how should keep my hair when I sleep? Can i never wear a ponytail again? Is it possible to get a deep conditioner that i dont need to wash my hair for?

Here's the things you can do:
Buy a wide-toothed comb to comb hair,
Leave your hair to air-dry,
Sleep with your hair in a braid-it doesn't pull the hair and it doesnt break or damage the hair, also you will have wavy hair when it is taken out,
Buy a deep condition to use once a week,
Don't wear you hair in a bun it is bad for your hair and especially your ends,
Wear loose hair styles that don't strain or pull on your hair,
In the humid weather buy a sun screen hair protectant,
If you ever do straighten wear heat protectant,
Invest in a hot oil treatment,
Buy argun/coconut/almond oil to help nourish your hair,
Buy a shampoo specifically designed for damaged hair,
Wash your hair in cold water rather than hot,
Dont wash your hair so often 2 a week is fine - and buy some dry shampoo to keep your hair fresh in between washes
Prehaps also wear your hair in a loose low ponytail at the nape of your neck,
Wear a hat for hot weather,
Drink LOTS of water- this is a must
Eat healthily
Get regular hair trims to promote healthy growth.
Hope I helped,

Hello Dear,
To treat your hair, ill recommend you keep it straighten and use a heat protectent.I use the Argan Oil pro Naturals because it prevents your hair from any straightner heat damage. Along with this you should use a hair straightner that it will keep your hair straight for as long as a week to prevent any damages. Using a straightner every day will keep you hair fried.I recommend the Karmin G3 hair straightner.I have curly and frizzy hair with just one pass in my hair it leaves completely straight. It uses tourmaline ceramic plates that prevents my hair from any damages.Search it online!

my hair is a little damaged because of the chlorine (the pool) i got main and tail conditioner, and it is amazing. only put it on the end of your hair not on your scalp. it has deep moisturizer so it will make it super soft and shiny. also this may sound gross but once a month i do a hair mask. made out of eggs. it really helps to strengthen your hair, and it makes your hair grow. you can search hair masks on YouTube. get your hair trimmed every little while so that your hair will stay healthy. hope i helped!
