Im the biggest dodge fan you will ever find. My whole life i have worked on dodges, and owned nothing other than one. Heres the catch about the dart. The dart has a sharp look, but in the end isnt your best bet. The new Ford Focus actually has more horsepower than the supposedly new veraion of the "dart". They are nice little cars but save your 20k. Go buy a dodge neon SRT4 for 7, or a nice dodge charger for 10. Hope this helps you, trying to be as honest as I can.

The Dodge Dart is a good car, in a competitive segment full of great cars that have had years of refinement.
I would not be worried about reliability - Fiat owns Alfa Romeo and its reliability has gotten better since they took over - but I would be worried if you intend to keep the car for a really long time. Chrysler's entire future is up in the air right now, if you believe the rumor mill - and the Dart is just not selling well. The bosses at Fiat are not going to allow them to keep selling a car they lose money on.
The smart money is on not buying a Dodge right now. Look at a Mazda3 or Focus if you like to drive, look at a Cruze or Elantra if you want something cheap, and look at a Civic or Corolla if you want something boring and unflappably reliable.

You do need to be aware that the new Dodge Dart is really a Alfa Romeo Guliatta underneath.
Fiat now owns Chrysler/Jeep/Ram, and is making good cars, but the Fiat/Alfa/Lancia MAY have to prove it's self in America, as we drive completely differently than Europe. In Europe if you drove 100 miles, you would be in a different country, and they DO NOT drive 70 MPH all the time like we do.
( Germany's autobahn excepted!)
