    1) To not take life for granted and to enjoy every second of it because even people with illlnesses are able to enjoy life, so you should enjoy it too.

    2) I think it says that life is unfair. Hazel and Gus traveled all the way to Sweden to meet their favourite author to find out he wasn't the guy they thought he was. And they were happy together, but he got taken away and that's unfair as well. But even though life is unfair, you can still move on and live even after all these tragedies. Hazel manages. So sometimes the most physically weak of us are the most emotionally strong.
