Is there a reason why they banned Monster Reborn?
It's self-explanatory. I was working on my Blackwing deck for a while now and they're just banning Monster Reborn. That was the best card in my deck! Is there any reason why they banned it? Besides it being used so much?
@Zack: Yeah, the banlist hit my Blackwing deck pretty hard, too. I had originally wanted 2 Bottomless and 2 compulsory, but I can only have 1 of each now.
@pikapika: Yeah, but I see they banned Gateway of the Six. That's going to hurt EVERY Six Samurai deck. (Sorry, still a little amazed by the banlist.)

Monster Reborn was banned bcause it could get just about any boss monster out of either players graveyard without a cost. I wish it wasnt banned but it is.
& Blackwings may have lost Reborn, and Bottomless and Compulse were limited, but they r gonna b really popular this format bcause Black Whirlwind is off the ban list and back @ 3.

My guess is that if your opponent had a boss monster in their graveyard, after you got rid of it, you could reborn it to your side of the field. It was kinda overpowered. At least Call of the Haunted is at 3, so you can get things out of your grave.

Seems like they're trying to stop anything that would be considered overpowered. Well, at least you get 3 whirlwinds now

It is way to overpowering. If you were to randomly pull it out, you would be put at an unexpected advantage. You have pretty much won the battle.
