The sub will automatically play the bass. The question you should be asking is, Will the sub receive enough power from the amp? Well since i don't know what sub you have, I can't answer. Best to bridge the 2 channels and combine them into 1. Take (-) Negative from sub and wire to channel 1 negative and take (+) positive wire from sub and connect it to channel 2 positive. This will bridge the amp and make it a mono (1 channel) and most of the amps power will be used to push the sub. However my advice is based on a 2ch bridgeable amp and 1 SVC sub.

The +12V goes to your battery positive terminal, fused within 6 - 8"

The Gnd goes to bare metal

the rmt goes to either your remote turn on wire blue/white strips, or a switched +12V wire

The speaker gets wired to the speaker output

The signal (music) comes from either rca's plugged into the radio, rca's plugged into a line out converter, or by using the high level inputs ( Don't know what amp or sub you have so . . . )

    Good Luck!
