Hmm. Friend zones are hard. But first you need to make sure that maybe she said that you guys were "besties" because she feels like shes in the friend zone?? Start off becoming more flirty with her. Girls love that. (As long as it's not weird flirting) haha maybe ask her what kind of guys she likes to get a hint if your in there anywhere. Slowly move your way in but don't take too long to kinda spit it out that you like her. Offer to take her out to see a scary movie, just the two of you. And make your move there.

And for homecoming. ALWAYS BUY ROSES. like one year I was driving into school and my fiance asked me to hc by taking red plastic cups and putting them inside the little holes in the chain link fence of our school saying 'Dylan L + Britt D = HC?' while he waited by the entrance of the school.

One year he had my whole class and teacher in on it, he had 4 things of roses sent to my room and then he came in and pulled up the projector screen that asked me to HC.

Another time he tagged my car and hung balloons from anything he could saying prom? With rose pedals surrounding my car.

If you want to ask her to home coming just ask her confidently if you really liked her you would take sacrifices for her. If you don't quick enough someone else might build up the confidence to ask her out which means you might stay in the friend zone
