Why do I get the feeling President Obama is in way over his head?

He IS in way over his head. Has been since day 1. He's like a celebrity who wins an election because of his charm and public persona, but hasn't got the foggiest idea of how to do the job.

You're not the only one who feels this way. Obama is in way over head. He's a bumbling fool who is only trying to save face for the red line he drew in the sand.

He's waited too long to react. He already looks weak to the rest of the world so he might as well swallow his pride and admit he screwed up with his red line comment.

You could say that about most of our elected leaders, and be right.
