Are Isla and Ayla pronounced the same?

I know for sure that Isla is pronounced Eye-la but is Ayla pronounced like Eye-la or Aye-la

    I thought Ayla was pronounced " 'ey-la "

    What language are you talking about? As another answer said, the S is pronounced in spanish. In English "Isle" is pronounced like "Eye-L" so it's plausible that "Isla" could be "Eye-la" though I would use the spanish unless corrected.

    "Ayla" would probably be "Eh-la" in English, perhaps "Eye-la" in a European language. But then "Isle" wouldn't be "Eye-L".

    So I can't think of a language where those could be the same, no.
