The home leg YNWA with Gerry Marsden leading us off has to be the best ever.
It brought goosebumps to your goosebumps
Great friendly atmosphere then as you said Diouf ruined it.
Hartsons goal in the second leg was icing on the cake

Yeah great game tainted by that walloper. And what does Walter Smith do? Runs out and signs him. It's only speculation but I think that if he had spat all over the Rangers support and Celtic showed an interest in him that the majority of the fans would say "we don't want someone like that at Celtic Park". I'm not denying there are muppets who would lap it up but I'd like to think that we would steer clear of someone who did such a disgusting thing at our counterparts home ground.
About the game, gave me an excuse to drag out a half-and-half Celtic and Liverpool flag that I'd bought about ten years earlier.

Arguably John Hartson's finest moment in the Hoops.
One of my all time favourite Celtic goals. \o/

Yeah I kind of remember that game, I think Diouf fell into some of the fans and then as he was getting up he spat at them, Yeah he was one rotten individual. I hope he is spit polishing shoes for a living now.

I remember it well, I also remember a lot of lads here in Ireland who support both teams who didn't know what to do or who to shout for that night!
