SOMEONE ANSWER PLEASE! IT BUGS ME I WANT TO KNOW!?

This happened in may but it still bugs me everyday I think about him. so on May 26 me, my best friend, my crush, his brother, my friend's bf, and 2 other boys all went to the movies to watch fast and furious 6. Once he saw me he said I looked pretty. And he wouldn't stop holding me by the waist. The whole way to our seats he was holding me by the waist. When we sat down it was my friends bf, my best friend, me, and him than the rest of the boys behind us. At one point my friend wanted to rest her legs on my legs so i let her but than my crush saw and pushed her legs off and said no shes mine. I was like ohh okay than. At the beginning of the movie we were fine we didn't do anything. Than he takes my hand and we held hands for half of the movie but you couldn't really tell. Than his friend comes next to him and I heard him say dude why didn't you make a move? And he puts are hands up and says I already did and all the boys were like word! Go out! So we just laughed and I let go. Than 10 minutes after he pulls me next to him and puts his arm my shoulder and we stayed like that until the movie finished. Once it finished we get up and it was awkward between us. While we were waiting outside for our ride he started again hugging me, and holding me by the waist. Later that night my friend calls me saying he knew that I like him. So in my head I was like everything he did at the movies was to play me? Than Monday came and I was ignoring him I was mad at the fact that he played me. So he tried talking to me. He said I know you like me. I like you too but I think you deserve someone better than me. I didn't know if I should believe him but I did. Than a few weeks ago my friend tells me that my crushes friend told her everything that happened in movies between me and him. He planned it. Idk if I should believe it cuz his friend sometimes lies. PLEASE HELP ME. btw my friends all hate him for hurting me./: we start school Monday but everytime he sees me he says hi :)
