what does the world think will happen if Obama strikes Syria with Assad warns of 'repercussions?

For my self I believe that it will be the beginning of the end, of the world as we know it today. for it has been predicted that the Arab will stop the flow of oil to the United States, to collapse there economies and many more disasters will follow. What are your thoughts?

The US planned for Arab nations not sending oil, it happened a few decades ago (embargo) and it backfired horribly on them.

The US is actually a big oil producer itself, but isn't tapping into to its full potential until the world's reserves run out.

"it has been predicted that the Arab will stop the flow of oil to the United States, to collapse there economies "

Whoever predicted that has no idea what they're talking about.

How much oil does Syria produce? Very little, especially in comparison to Iraq, Saudi Arabia, or the Gulf states.

Which countries in the region have been arming the rebels who are fighting Assad? Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan - all Arab states who are trying to remove Assad. Why? Because Assad is allied with their great enemy, Iran. So why would the Arab states be upset about Assad being attacked by the U.S., when that's what they're already doing?

Is Iran an Arab country? No - Iranians are Persians, with only a small portion of the country being Arabic. They're Muslim, yes, but being Muslim and being Arab are not the same thing. In addition, they're not even the same kind of Muslim - Iranians are Shiite Muslims, whereas most Arabs are Sunni Muslims (although many Arabs in Iraq and Syria are Shiite - Assad is an Alawite, and so are most of his supporters, which is a subset of Shiite).

How much oil does Iran produce? A lot, but it doesn't get sold to the U.S. or Europe - instead, it generally goes to China or India. While Iran could easily affect the price of oil by refusing to sell oil at all, that would immediately bankrupt their country (which relies on that oil as the basis for their entire economy) and cause massive social unrest that could overthrow the government

I don't think anyone wants a real war over a few strikes in Syria, especially if the UN finds them guilty of using chemical weapons

Iran could have gotten excited over lots of things if they wanted a war with us.

If WW3 is coming, and I don't think it is, it wouldn't be over issues much more complicated than Syria

At the end of the day, the Arab Nations can't touch us except by slowing oil exports or by coming to us, and they can't compete in that kind of war.

If you had followed (and understood) the news, you'd know by now that the Arab League has actually blamed Assad for the chemical attack .. and backs the US for punitive measures.
