Minimum wage and child support question?

I had lost my job, but recently got a minimum wage job. I only work between 20-25 hours a week. I am ordered $60 a week in child support, will the whole 60 be taken from my check? The minimum here is $7.25.

Update:

2 the gambler guy. I do take responsibility for my kid. I keep her a month at a time and still pay support.

Unless you go back to court and argue for a lower child support payment, yes, the entire $60 will be taken.

Usually there is a max % that can be taken.

$60 a week is nothing, take responsibility for your kid. Get a second job or more hours.

the amount of child support doesn't change because of your change in jobs unless you go back to court to get it changed

if you make the $60 that is garnished for child support, it will be taken

the child is unable to provide for itself but you as an adult are able to do more to provide for yourself and the child

if you truly have 50/50 custody and are required to pay support, you need to go back to family court and get this adjusted, do you pay the month you have the child?

My friend needed 3 jobs to pay child support and his own expenses. Get another job.

Unless you petition the family court for a decrease in benefits, your required benefit will be taken from your pay.
