Is their a site in English that I can meet people from Rio De Janeiro?

Not for sex just to chat with and possibly be friends? Maybe when I visit Rio I can meet with them

and have lunch or dinner or a good beer.

Probably not. First of all the internet isn't used down here like it is in America. For example, in the US almost every company has a website. Here very few do, unless you are a company like PepsiCo or Heinz. Any type of website or social networking such as Facebook and Twitter is all in Portuguese. I think the best way for you to meet people who speak English in Rio is to post another post asking for just that, you can then become Facebook friends or exchange e-mail addresses and start to grow a friendship.

Yes, but it's a bad idea, my friend. Criminals are looking for foreigners on the Internet and streets. It's really dangerous. Oh, forget about having a friend in Brazil too. I have tried it. Bad idea. The best way to make a "contact", not a friend (because we never will), is just talking to people from concierges and asking them about .what you really want.
