Is Putin, an ex-KGB agent and Soviet, better at promoting peace and freedom than Obama is?

Is he a better American than Obama, even though he spits at the very ideals that America was founded upon?

Update:

@Jared, how is that "bigoted against Russians"? The man was a KGB agent, a Soviet, and even a war criminal. This is known, historical fact. His actions in support of a genocidal Authoritarian government directly conflicted with the ideals that America was founded upon. Yet, he seems to be more interested in these very same ideals than Obama is now.

Putin realized that the space left by the USSR when it folded was quickly filled by the Russian Orthodox Church. He is a dictator and an opportunist. He has become pro-Christian and supports the values of the church, at least publicly. This is why Russia has passed the law banning anyone from "recruiting" children into homosexuality. In addition, he was baptized into the church and met with and prayed with the Archbishop of Jerusalem when he visited Israel.

He wants his country to succeed. He will promote Christian values and freedom in Russia and peace as long as it benefits him and Russia.

This differs from Obama in that he is trying to preside over the decline of America because he believes we are a colonial power and therefore evil.

Russia has had Syria as an ally for some time. Chances are the diplomats from the USA and Russia met and made an agreement that Russia would look like the peacemaker, if Syria would get rid of its weapons.

Whereas Obama stands behind the very peaceful population of Israel and doesn't mind hordes of rebels having sarin gas bombs.

Heck, he'd help arm those guys in order to promote peace.

    NO.

Do you really believe that chemical weapons, in possession of BOTH sides, are going to leave Syria?

To late for verification as to where the weapons are stored, thanks to the traitor in this government that forced the Pentagon to revise their target site plan of attack, 50 TIMES!

That's a little bigoted against Russians.

Also he's only being "peaceful" because he's strongly allied with Assad.

Edit: Ad hominem. You're suggesting its absurd for him to support peace because of his past.
