I have completed a rough draft for an essay concerning the moral dilemma we face with people who have neurological problems that prohibit them from moral reasoning. I have sited such people as Rushworth M Kidder, Thomas Hobbes, and John Locke. The problem I'm having is that two of my references came from the same chapter of the same book, so I'm short one citation.

Can you recommend a good short reference that I could incorporate into the final draft fairly easily? My thesis is pro utilitarian, and I believe those individuals should be removed from society and housed for treatment as it would be the "greatest good for the greatest number".

Any help would be appreciated, and I will be choosing a best answer fairly quickly.

Just thought I'd clear that up. I have never heard the term Fascist used correctly here at Yahoo!Answers. There is no such thing as someone being so far to the left or right that they have become Fascist. There is no such thing as taxing people making one Fascist. There is no such thing as FOX News making one Fascist. There is no such thing as anyone in America being truly Fascist.

Normally, you see Fascism in the Far East, where groups of workers have decided to deny themselves personal interests in the name of progress.

I just thought I'd let you know that CNN just announced the last troops crossing into Kuwait.

I'm a Republican, but I keep hearing mention of a Liberal movement toward Socialism. Has Obama really infected this country to the point where the Democrats want a form of Socialism instead of Capitalism? I find it fairly hard to believe.

I don't see any genuine questions in the Government and Politics forum. Everyone wants to make rude derogatory remarks like "Why are the Dems/Reps stupid this and thats"? and ask short sighted unanswerable questions, like "Is the Government ever going to.... ?" or "Are we going to war with...?". Is there any reason we can't become a little more mature and involved?

And please, don't say, "Well, the problem is the Dems/Reps are.... "

So here's my question: Candidates aside, what bipartisan ideologies does America truthfully need?

Having done literally hundreds of these, I don't know why I can't come up with the answer:

A boat is making a round trip to an island. On the way there, it goes 15 mph, and on the way back it goes 12 mph. If it takes the boat six minutes longer on the way back, what is the distance to the island.

I just can't seem to come up with the equation for the thing.

Three men walk into a hotel, and they tell the desk clerk that they want accommodations for the night. He tells them that it will cost them $10 each, collects the money from each of them, and instructs the bell boy to show them upstairs to the rooms.

Once upstairs, the bell boy discovers that, being good friends, they don't want three separate rooms, but one room with three beds, so he goes down to tell the desk clerk.

The desk clerk informs the bell boy that one room for three people is less than three room for one person ~ the one room only costs $25. Then he gives the bell boy the key to the new room and $5 change to give the men.

On the way upstairs, the bell boy thinks to himself, "There are three men, and five dollars. I can't divide it equally among them"! So he thinks of a scheme...

He takes the men to the new room, gives them each $1, and keeps the extra $2 for himself.

Now, if each of the men originally paid $10, and they each got $1 back, then they each paid $9.

$9 times 3 is 27... so they paid a total of $27. plus the two the bell boy kept makes $29.

What happened to the other dollar?

put "My brain" as their source? They could simply leave the field blank... but NoOoOo...They feel like it's some witty sign of their intellect.
