    Because it was chosen as 'Featured Content'.

    Meaning, EVERYONE who signed into the site saw it, plenty of them LOOKED at it, and LOTS of them gave it a thumbs up.

    Just a matter of being in the right place at the right time to be noticed ... NOT a reflection on the quality of the answer!

    Once it gets posted as featured content, people want to get associated with it, thus the thumbs
