Would it be possible to take over a country?

I'm wondering if it would be possible for me, an average citizen, to gather a militia/military, money, weapon, and other supplies, and take over a small island country. Also the island country would be able to support itself with food, water, resources, etc. It would probably be in the Caribbean or Pacific. Is it possible or likely?

    Any Island that has the resources to fuel itself as a country has pretty much already been claimed, I guess nothing is impossible but it is just improbable.

    I guess there are a few deserted Pacific atolls out there- that wouldn't put up too much on a Fight... So- yes; I suppose it would be Possible. :)
