What to do for your 17th birthday?

So my birthday will be on October 28th which is a Monday. I'm a junior in high school. The last time I actually did something with my friends was when I was in, like, 4th grade or something. I feel bad because my friends always want to hang out but I am usually working. Last year I went to 6 flags with my older sister and a couple of my coworkers who I didn't know well last year. I have a small idea of inviting my guy and girl friends bowling or something so they can all be comfortable if they don't know each other (my bff who goes to another school and knows none of them, some friends from dance, the majority from school, and a few from work possibly.) It would prob be between 10 and 15 kids in all. I have done it before. I was also thinking of trying to have a little halloween party but my dogs probably wouldnt like the energy and my mom might not let me. I have no clue what I should do, if I do anything. What are some good (appropriate) ideas?

i thnk the halloween party idea is a great idea

    set a theme

like, pirates, or cartoons, or super heroes, etc

and have everybody dress like the theme

you can have both, the friends would love having to dress up

then you can have pizzas, cakes, cookies, candies, and make every thing look like halloween

go on a scavenger hunt, later, rent some spooky movies

i heard woman in black, was pretty good.

Here is a complete idea and theme for your upcoming event:

    Qty of people: 10-20

    Place: At home

    Activity: Active

    Budget: Below $200

The 80’s had nothing but the best parties. The parties had activity, authenticity and style not visible with modern parties. Fortunately, you can actually relieve the 80’s party experience, even today. Here are a few things you might want to consider while at it.

    Party invitations

Party invitation cards included funny sayings and texts commonly uttered during the 80s.some of the cards contained famous icons and designed in very creative shapes. Using any 80s design would win you many guests at your party for instance shaping of the cards in a cassette like shape with perfect words.

    Party decorations

It is important to think big an ensuring your theme goes hand in hand with the decorations you set up. Common decorations during the 80s were filled with big hair with wild styles.

Welcoming decorations such as having a banner outside your compound or at the venue of the party was always a great start and helped to reach out to everyone. Besides banners, when entering the room one could notice large posters and golden stars all over the room. To add on to that cassette tapes were included as visual items that adds up to the taste. Pictures also were plastered everywhere in the room. When planning one to hold one of the 80s party its important to order or such decorations as cassettes.

    Food and drinks

Food and drinks will never miss out to any function carried out.the most popular drinks at that time was coke largely served to every guest. Additionally punch is always available for the adult guests as well as spike to make them cheerful .if kids are attending the party Pepsi and punch never missed.

Snacks being a must included popular brands at that time which are Doritos, Cheetos, Pop Rocks and similar items will be your best bets. However, make sure that you blend in some pizza in the mix as well, since it was the official food of the 80's.

If cake is included the do a classic 80s cake design such as a video cassette shape like cake and sure enough all will be munched. You can also choose to do other cakes in rubiks cube shape.

    Party games and activities

Games to keep the guests from getting bored during the 80s included the Spin the Bottle and Valley Girl Impersonations. Games could go with the age, if children are attending the party their games were put into consideration same applies to the adults. Adults never missed to play trivia and other popular board games.

    Party favors

Costumes and attires are things that will always remind the people of how the 80s were. Western fashion and cosmetics were brought to light women would not miss make up on their faces and several collection of perfume.

Every woman did super hair style, apply mascara and additional eyeliner. Additional accessories included bright bracelets, chains and long earrings with bright colored outfit is what ladies would look good in.

Men would look good and cool in a jean jacket as they were famous and stylish and dark glasses. Others were seen in baggy shirts, wearing some funny wig with parachute pants on.
