How to delete songs from my iPhone?
I just spent about two hours going through 1000 songs and deleting the ones I no longer want in itunes. I know I can manually delete each song on my phone, but I don't want to go through it again and try to remember all of the songs I deleted.
Is there anyway I can get iTunes to delete the songs I deleted on iTunes, on my phone? Should I just delete all the songs from my phone and re-sync it? (which will take a long time)

What I do instead of deleting songs permanently from my computer is I make a playlist of all the songs I want and sync my iPod/iPhone to that. I do this because if I don't particularly feel like having a song on my device then I can just remove it from the playlist and re-sync my device and then later on if I want to listen to that song again I don't have to go through downloading it again because it's just there and I can re-add it into the playlist.
I also delete songs from the playlist when I don't have enough room left and then re-add them when I do have room.
You don't have to do this but it's just an idea I thought I'd share.
But in answer to your question: Yes, since you've already deleted the songs from your iTunes library, you can just sync your iPhone and presto! The songs should/will be gone! Don't worry, you won't have to spend heaps of time deleting them off of your iPhone, just sync it.
Hope I helped :)

No, you don't have to delete any songs on your iPhone. Just sync your iPhone to the computer that you deleted the songs from. Everything will be deleted accordingly.
