I want to bar a number from my nokia 2690 mobile phone.?

I neither want to be called by the number nor the number to be called from my handset. The handset settings do not provide such services to specific numbers.

    Are you wanting to block a person from phoning you? if you phone your provider they should be able to provide you step by step instructions on how to block them.
