How different are these two sentences-English grammar with dating question?

Is there a difference when a girl says:

looking forward to SEE you next week, and looking forward to connecting next week? (we will see each other next week btw)

and what does it mean when a girl says this.

It should be "look forward to *seeing* you next week* ("See" isn't proper english)

"Connecting" is correct grammar, but it's not a word people really use. It means the same thing as "seeing" but more people say seeing. Just sounds better.

It means she is happy that she will get to see you.
