wise of the Beatles themselves doing these songs? Such as "World Without Love" (given to Peter and Gordon), "From A Window" (given to BIlly J Kramer), etc. I am more than curious to hear the Beatles' renditions of these songs that were never issued by them.

As far as I know Brian Epstein asked John and Paul to write for his other stars, I don't think it was that they gave them away, they had no intention of recording the songs themselves, they knew they wouldn't suit the Beatles style..
