If you've got a paypal account you should be able to pay by that, even if you don't have sufficient funds in your paypal account. Provided it is linked to your bank account, you should be able to pay using an e-cheque - but get some cash into your bank account first thing tomorrow.

Alternatively, ask the seller if they are willing to wait a couple of days for payment (won't work if it is a buy it now/pay immediately item).

Your Bank will LOVE you if you do this

What wikll happen .. you buy the stuff, PayPal ask your Bank for the money .. the Bank sees you want less than £50 and are (currently) 'in credit' so they will send it .

The Bank then sees you are 'overdrawn' .. this is called an 'Unauthorised Overdraft' and they will immediately stick you with a charge *(typically £25, could be up to £50)

At the end today, if you are still 'overdrawn' (i.e. did not pay in enough CASH to meet the bill PLUS the charges) the Bank's computer will send you a letter ... and add another 'charge' to your account (typically £35)

END RESULT .. you end up having to pay the Bank about £100 for something that's worth £40 ..
