Does Yamaha or Honda plan on building a sport side by side?
Ok Polaris has the rzr, Can-Am has the Maverick and Arctic Cat has the Wildcat. All others are garbage. Why hasn't the bigger companies stepped up to the market yet? Scared perhaps because of lawsuits? Maybe waiting to see what the strengths weaknesses of other companies sport side by sides are? These are the only logical things I can think of considering the amount of $$$ they are loosing not building a sport side by side. Honda has been reliable but slow at the gate and building machines made for 90 year olds. Yamaha; I just don't get it at all... Where you at Yamaha!!?? Build a gosh dang sport side by side already and crush the competition.

Polaris, Arctic cat, and Can-Am are all Atv/utv companies. Honda and Yamaha are MOTORCYCLE companies. Honda makes most of their money from dirt bikes and motorcycles and so does Yamaha. If you want a sport utv from Honda or Yamaha, then take a Yamaha rhino/Honda big red, and put a big@$$ engine in it, and stiffen the suspension a bit. Then you have yourself a Japansese sport utv!

Until recently Polaris had a patent on 50inch machines, which limited that market. Can-Am and Artic Cat went after the larger sport sxs market in the mean time. However the patent is up and Artic Cat just announced their new Wildcat Trail.

I have heard rumors that Yamaha and Honda may enter the market now that they can build 50inch machines but who knows. I was really surprised that Yamaha did not announce it when they announced the viking.
