With the new format, you can only edit answers posted to OPEN questions.
If you are posting answers to "Research" questions (ones with a Best Answer already chosen), you are not getting your 2 points for answering, and you can't edit those answers once you post them.

As Yahzmin says you can still only edit answers to open questions. When they are resolved you can still not edit them
To edit in the new format then there is no "edit" text any longer. Instead click the pencil icon to the left of "delete"
Beware, there is a bug with editing. When you submit it will look as if all the formatting for paragraphs has been lost. Don't panic. If you press F5 after submitting then it will refresh the page and your formatting will still be there (the bug has been reported to the Y! Answers Team already)
