Stevie Ray Vaughan. My Uncle gave me a DVD of him performing at Austin City Limits for my 16th birthday, about 9 years ago. It was amazing how much emotion and feeling he put into playing the guitar. It introduced me to the Blues and Blues Rock. I don't think such soulful and powerful guitarist exists today. I wish I could see him live and be part of that energy and experience.

Well, there's no dead performer I want to see on stage... that would be gross. LOL Thre are very few performers still alive that I'd care to see, the ones that are still alive have kind of lost their chops. Maybe John Fogarty, Heart, or better yet, Heart with Wynonna like on that Crossroads show. That was killer. There is one guy ... Tommy Emanuel ... he's a guitar virtuoso, he hasn't lost a step yet, but given the parameters of the question, there are just too many to choose from. I mean, jeesh, all the way back to Bethoven ... can you imagine what he would do with today's instruments? Like in Bill and Ted's excellent adventure ... wicked, I'd bet. Then there's tons from then on that could make the bill. Country, rock, hillbilly, all of it. All except Elvis, I was never a big fan, he sold out rock and roll. Patsy Cline, Buddy Holly ... no I can't think of any ONE performer I'd care to see more than some others. Hell, so long as we're dreaming, why not bring all of the greats, past and present together in one huge Woodstock style show.

To see a dead musician (long deceased) come back to life to perform once again alive on stage--wow! Anybody who picks a performer who is still living just doesn't get what a great, unique opportunity this is. You can go see the living performer anytime! But a dead perfomer up on stage totally mimicking a living, breathing human--that would be a sight to behold, eh? So, yeah I guess I'd say Steve Martin!!! (Hey Steve, just kidding!! This is something you would say, right? Hahahahaha....) No really --it would have to be Jerry Garcia of the DEAD! Playing Franklin's Tower from the Blues for Allah album. He was a creative genius, a family man, and a 1 man superpower ambassador for peace. He is loved by millions, perhaps even billions who were and still are touched by his music to this day.

There are so many I have seen live, and many more I wish I had.
Dead - Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Louis Prima, and Louis Jordan had to have put on some awesome live shows, with comedy (in Hawkins' case, horror) thrown in. I would have loved to see Bon Scott with AC/DC, although I'm not sure their live show was as big when he was with them. Stevie Ray Vaughn or Jimi Hendrix would have been great, but only in a more intimate setting, since I would have to see what they are doing to their guitar the whole time. Elvis because he could do just about any genre, and his live shows were very energetic.
Alive - Willie Nelson and/or Merle Haggard, because they are the only real country icons alive today. I want to see Billy Joe Shaver, Ray Wiley Hubbard, and Delbert McClinton, for the same reason. They are almost the founding fathers of Texas music. Alice Cooper has an awesome live act. ZZ Top, because I love almost every song they've done.

In my mind, there will never be a greater talent and person. His music reached all ages of people. He was loved by young and old alike. Not only could he sing (including Gospel and Rock and Roll), but he was a wonderful humanitarian with a heart of gold. He also was a pretty good actor, too. I saw him perform at one of his last concerts and he gave it his all, even though it was apparent that he wasn't well. I would love to see Elvis perform again.-French composer who was also France's best fencer. During the French Revolution he was Colonel of a legion of Black volunteers, and fought heroically. His works were seldom played after 1803, when Napoleon re instituted slavery in France's colonies. The music of Saint-Georges was played with increasing frequency in the late 20th century, and much of it has been recorded since the 1970s. So, in my view, a man who mastered both the world of music and the sword has earned his audience. Would be absolutely riveting to see him conduct his orchestra live!

I would have absolutely loved to see Hawkwind back in 1977 when Bob Calvert was still alive. And who wouldn't want to see Jim Morrison and The Doors live. But the show I wish I could have saw the most was Jethro Tull in 1975. I wasn't born for another 21 years, unfortunately.
Here is a rare clip of Tull during that tour in 75 (this is actually a clip from my youtube channel. This was a silent 8mm film I personally dubbed with sound from the concert):
