Why should we trust science which changes often instead of religion which never changes?

Aside from their stances on slavery, mixed race marriage, racism, witch hunting, heretic burning, geocentrism, animal sacrifice, ceremonial cleansing, genocide, the eating of non-kosher foods, alcohol, and capital punishment, when have Judeo-Christian values ever changed?

For the simple fact that it does change. Everything does. The basis of science never changes. Just our perception as more information is brought to life

LOL. Also, changing your beliefs when faced with new evidence is actually a good thing. An attitude of "I've made up my mind, don't confuse me with the facts" only proves your ignorance and wrong-headedness.

Also, don't forget stances on rape (Bible says, force her to marry the rapist!), premarital sex (still not a big fave, but Bible says if she's not a virgin on her wedding day, kill her), Leverite marriages, concubines, polygamy, wearing mixed fabrics and getting tattoos (both abominations, according to Leviticus -the same chapter that describes 'men laying with another man' as an abomination), and women as priests.

Last but not least: Numbers 5:11, wherein the Bible gives instructions on how to perform an abortion if you think your wife's baby isn't yours.

Who here thinks Europe is a country or that Australia is in Europe or that there are penguins in the Arctic or that bananas are fruits or that bananas grow on trees? Now, who here thinks Christianity means Creationism or vice versa, or that the Theory of Evolution conflicts with each and every religion in the world, or better yet that religion means Christianity?

I tell you, the things that a lot of people here say make me think they slept through every single one of their classes from elementary school through high school. Not pointing at anyone, just saying.

A wise person looks at all things with a healthy degree of skepticism. Science and Religion should not be considered exceptions. Another way atheists are hypocritical - they are find with people being skeptical about religions, but if somebody shows skepticism about claims made scientists, they are 'science deniers'..
