Will Google replace my phone?

I have a Nexus 4 and I broke the screen. I got it fixed by a third party company but now the proximity sensor doesn't work. The company says in the fine print they don't take responsibility for it. If I report a broken sensor in my phone to Google, will they know I had my screen replaced by someone else? Or will they just replace it? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that they will find out considering that Google has plenty of engineers that have it checked up. If you're lucky, they'll let it slide. Otherwise, they will make you pay a hefty sum because you were caught lying. The fine print even states that they're not responsible for damage that YOU caused. So, take responsibility and don't be a jerk. Have a good day.
