1) Click settings in chrome
2) Where it says "on startup" select "Open a specific page or set of pages", click "set pages". Delete everything you see than add a new one with the google web address (google.com)
3) you said your home page is that already so yup
4) next look where it says "Search". Make sure google is the one selected from the drop down menu. Then click "manage search engines". Hover your mouse on the right hand side of whatever comes up then delete all of them. Add google.com and set it as default
5) click extensions on the left hand side and make sure everything is deleted except for the stuff you want
I'll guarantee you that should fix it. It's all got to do with "startup" "home page" and "search engines".
However if that doesn't work then click
start > control panel > uninstall programs > find bing and uninstall
Get back to me and tell me if it worked

What is there to do. Eventually, I would have to move on and root for a team in the opposite league that was not rivals with my original team. Even die hard fans can root for other teams, they just don't root for teams that are either rivals or are against one's favorite team. I am a BIG fan on the Yankees since I can remember, but if they are giving a game with say the braves and the Brewers I can root for one of those teams to win because their success has nothing to do with the Yankees. Besides, one cannot be a fan of a team without being a fan of baseball in general so if the team went under one would naturally have to support some baseball team.

Control panel, uninstall a program, in search simply type "con," the "search protect will pop up, uninstall it, it's going to warn that the Apocalypse will happen once you delete it, ignore that and uninstall. Boom you're done.
