How to get out of a basketball shooting slump?
Before I tell you the details, what I think happened was that I went into the game saying to myself "you're the leader of the team, the best on the team, you need to score the most, don't let anyone down." So I went into the game with all of this, kept missing, made one mid range jumpshot, and got to the free throw line a bunch of times but only ended with 8 points. This was the first game so that may also be the reason, as I haven't been playing real 40 minute games since August. I'm not out of shape or anything I work out and have private training sessions so it's not that. I have a game tomorrow night so do you guys have any tips on how to get out of this shooting slump? I know it's all mental, i am the go to guy on my team. So any tips or suggestions please feel free to say anything. By the way I'm a 6'0 PF who plays like a SF. I can get to the rim, and dribble the ball. During august at my camp I was 75-80% from the 3 point line so my shots not the problem.

If you get into a shooting slump in a game try to get easy shots like layups(dunks if you can) this will boost your confidence which will help you shoot easier, try to make some defensive plays as well, it will make you fell better about yourself as a basketball player.

well if you have one of the best handles in the game you got to go point but you know if you want to do that work on those 3's man so you can get some outside shot as a point guard so just work out on 3's again and you will def be starting point

only way to get out of a slump is keep shooting. if you say you shot such a high percentage before, don't change your shot even if you miss. also, get to the basket. make layups before you attempt jumpers. your shot will come back
