How To Become a Better Libero?

I'm a DS on my high school team, but I really want to play Libero.

I asked my coach what I could do, and she said I was doing great, but she felt that our current Libero had a bit more experience as Libero.

Well, she does. I was Libero when I was 12 for club, and then I was an outside/DS for club when I was 13.

Our Libero was Libero for her 14's club team, and I think her 13's club team as well.

I just really want to play Libero soon because the season is almost over. Plus, I'm trying to play up in club this year, so I'm with my grade. I want to know how I can become *REALLY* good at being Libero, so I can at least play it during club season. If I make a 15's team.

First off, it's just a position. Getting on the court should be your focus and seeing how you can best contribute to the success on the team. I love hitting, however there are guys far better than me so I focus on making good passes to help everyone out. The best way to improve is remember the basics and execute with good form. Then, once you have it done, take some risks on plays that make you uncomfortable (diving for tough balls, serving a bit harder, but in, etc.). If you want it, let your actions show it; also make up for mistakes with hustle!
