Yahoo, why did you change the way answers was.?

They won't tell you. You're asking other users, not Y!A staff.

There are two threads about the new format on the Suggestion Board:

They are pinned, and you can comment on them, but many users have already been there.

You can revert back to the old format, for now, by clicking http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/

Some users say the change was to make Y!A more like social networking sites or to make it look like other yahoo sites.

I hate the new format too.

I had people on my favourites that answered the type of questions I liked answering too.

So they were flagged for me and I didn't miss them as easily.

It also saved me looking through mountains of stupid questions.

I also hate that you can answer a question first, but the order then changes and people that just copy your answer end up ahead of you and it looks like you copied them.
