1998 Cadillac whipper fuse blows?
have a 1998 Cadillac deville and the whipper fuse blows when I turn the key on even with the motor unplugged. there is a red wire from the fuse to the ignition switch and that doesn't have any shorts. is there any relays or control modules for the whippers. also there isn't any interior roof lights or blower motor working

I am sure you mean the wiper fuse. Your problem is not the wire going from the ignition switch to the fuse. It is the wire going from the fuse to the windshield wiper switch. From the switch to the windshield wiper. The red wire should go to a fusible link. This is probably a fairly complex issue since you probably have wires that shorted to the frame/body somewhere. Try to look for frayed wires. You just might get lucky and find your problem.

It means there is a short in the circuit past that fuse that keeps blowing. Ignition switch may not have anything to do with it except it powers up the fuse blocks which is when the fuse blows from the short in the wire. Now you need to get a wiring schematic & trace the circuit for that fuse that keeps blowing. We know it isn't the wiper motor assembly since it keeps blowing when its unplugged. The module is part of the wiper motor
