No. He was a member of the Communist Party till he was expelled after Stalin died (the Party was offended by his memorial lithograph). He really didn't think that much of us (though he was happy when our billionaires sent him their money) and of course the conservatives definitely didn't want him coming here.

Not that I know of.He spent most of his long life in France, or Paris.His father was French, so he decided to spend it in France.His art work was world famous, so an Picasso follower auctioned replicas in New York City...
