if he said positive things about downtown/greektown bars and lodging options then yyeah chances are they're accurate because these are great areas for a night out, if he's trying to sell you on some seedy motel on the outskirts of the city though he's probably just part of a low-life robbery-ring and i'd politely listen to him but not folllow-up on his advice.
