    Sometimes but not usually. Politically I lean towards liberalism and freedom for all because I know that protects my own and I don't believe any one has the right to force their views onto others (short of violence.)

    Just wanted to tell you that your screen name is typical of pseudo skeptical atheists that cant hold down a discussion.

    Of course my religious views would effect my political views as I am not a moral relativist like u. Moral relativisty is the most ridiculous worldview in existence, but then again we cant force atheist to think rationally as they are blinded by their emotional hatred of God. Atheists are moral relativists which taken logically would say that butchering a billion peop-le is no more good or bad objectively then me having a sandwich on a sunday evening.

    In order to be an atheist you must leave your brain and common sense out the door lol.

    This is why I have always believed that atheism is more of an emotional worldview then an intellectual one.

    I don't see how it would be possible for it to not effect ones political views, no matter what you believe. So, I would say yeah. Although I hold most of the same political views as I did before I was born again. So perhaps its the politics that effect the religious views.

    It should. True Christians won't get involved in politics as they are supposed to follow Jesus' footsteps. He always put his hope and trust in God's Kingdom, not in human governments.

    (John 18:36) . . .Jesus answered: “My kingdom is no part of this world. . . .

    When some tried to give him the position as king of the Jews, he left town in order to avoid being involved in their politics. He knew that the only appointment as king would be from his heavenly father at a future date in heaven, not on earth.

    (John 6:15) . . .Therefore Jesus, knowing they were about to come and seize him to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain all alone.

    By studying the Bible it can be seen that there's no point putting any hope in human politics as they often directly violate God's standards eg inequality, weapon development, war ....

    (Daniel 2:44) . . .“And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;

    No.

    My stances on religion and politics are independently-derived.

    My lack of belief in gods is the sole result of an evaluation of the evidence (i.e.: the lack thereof) for claims regarding the existence of supernatural beings.

    My political positions on social and fiscal politics are based, respectively, upon an understanding of morality and upon predictions for the most beneficial strategies for constructing and maintaining a massive and technologically-advanced civilization.

    Yes, I am a Christian, so I am a conservative. Like most Christians, I don't like the GOP but can't usually vote for the Dems because they are so extremely left and ridiculous.

  • I don't have religious views. thus no. But it is difficult to find baptists who vote democrat.
