htc one or iphone 5s ?

It depends really if your a person who likes a simple and clean operating system choose iPhone 5S. If you like having homescreens, customizing your phone, playing games or watching videos the HTC One is better.

In terms of performance both the iPhone 5S and HTC One are equally lagless, apps open up quite fast and the phones can run all apps smoothly.

The camera on both the phones is great. The HTC One has a 4 Ultrapixel camera which captures 300% more light compared to other phones. The HTC One captures very amazing photos and videos, even the front camera takes 1080p videos. After and before capturing a video the HTC One has a plethora of photo and video editing options. The iPhone 5S takes very good photos but offers less camera and video editing features.

The sound from both the speakers and headphones are better on the HTC One. The Boomsound speakers and the beatsaudio addition make the HTC One's sound much better compared to the iPhone 5S.

In terms of build quality both phones are very good but in all the drop tests you will see HTC One will come out better. The screen of the HTC One is Gorilla Glass 2 and it doesn't crack when you scratch it with keys or a knife, or even hit it with a hammer. Whereas the iPhone 5S gets scratched easily on both the front and back.

The display of the HTC One is significantly better because it sports a 468 PPI and a 1920 x 1080 resolution on a beautiful 4.7 inch screen. The iPhone 5S has a much lower PPI and resolution and a smaller screen. Even though the HTC One has a bigger screen it is still easy to operate with one hand and easy to carry around in your pocket.

HTC One has near field communication and infra-red sensor which means you can use the HTC One as a TV remote or use it make credit card payments.

iPhone 5S has a fingerprint sensor however it is a bit unsecure because you leave your fingerprint everywhere, plus when your sleeping someone could make purchases on your iTunes account. The HTC One has a more fun and secure feature called "Face Detection" you have to show your face and then blink to show that you are awake, and Face Detection is very accurate, it is very fast and allows you to add more than one face to open up your phone.

iPhone 5S is 64 bit apps but sadly there is not much of an advantage of that because 64 bit apps won't really kick in till 2015 and by that time iPhone 5S will be outdated, plus 64 bit apps take a lot more storage and battery.

Techradar.com and pocketlint.com both say that the HTC One is the best phone in the world.

So HTC One wins in almost everything, buy it!

Yes, I just got a HTC One a little over a week ago after 5 years w/ the iPhone. The physical comparison is true...it makes the iPhone seem so small and amplifies the ridiculous stance Apple has taken in not enlarging their screens (I don't need the size of the Fischer-Price-like Note but 4.5" would be awesome).

It takes some getting used to when making this switch but it's there. In defense of the iPhone, however, it must be stated how true it is to say Apple's solution is much smoother and simpler to work with. Android both excels and suffers from the multitude of customization its phones offer...but sometimes it's just too much.

Still, I can't get away from the comfort of having a larger screen and legible text to read. I'm not the least bit impressed with the photos taken by HTC One compared to iPhone but they're not bad and certainly not inferior to the point of wanting to switch phones. Plus the physical beauty and tactile feel of the HTC One is on par with any iPhone.

iphone 5s - compact , simple, great build quality , trust worthy , Although IOS 7 is restricted and has come down on par with android wrt the fluidity.

HTC one - large screen , great build quality, HTC is not as trust worthy with support, andriod is easier to customise if not easier to use.

Battery - i would say Iphone 5s will fare better in real world scenario. The hardware is not that big a deal because both have similar user experiences wrt the 3rd party apps.

but strictly speaking HTC one is better speced. although i find the difference useless.

IOS is the very good standard operating system .there are no doubts in apple ios about processing,speed,visual quality.

whaereas android an open sorce os released by google.android is experimental . u can do whatever u want if u know the built of os (coding etc) android which are freely available..

when u compare two phones there is much difference.

some are:

htc:

dual speakers with good built in amplifiers,camera quality,beats integration etc

apple:

ios itself special.fingerprint id,64-bit processor etc

but cost matters.iphone 5s is better option if u do no matter cost.if so then next prefered is htc one awesome.

i am actually ios lover but went for android lo0king htc.

i have purchased htc desire dual sim dual sim prefering htc over apple for 26000/- . i can say that it is good and satisfied.

so think once about price especially and have a lead .since both are extremely great phones in their own style.

What you want to go for if you prefer Features over Simplicity is HTC One ....Plus It looks Stunning Especially the black one... I have both S4 and HTC One My Dad uses an IPhone 5 ...

I love Siri and The new IoS 7 but I cant spend a day without my HTC one...

HTC ONE..A bigger screen w Boost stereo powered speakers makes for a great movie and tv shows watching experience. The speed of the phone is already lighting fast, the HTC ONE still has the most pixels per sq inch on it's screen making it still the sharpest viewing experience of any phone.it also IMO has a better display. 1080p on a smartphone may be overkill, but it sure is nice to have. It has a better battery life compared to ip5.both are made in china.. So there won't be any difference in quality.

It Depends On You... If you r Game n Features Lover thn You shd Choose Htc .. bt if u want a simple phone on the brand name of apple thn u should buy Apple 5s ... Processing of both devices are good n lag free... htc beat apple in camera function bcoz it has some additional features of photo/ video editing ... my advice is to buy htc

Well between the One & the GS4, the One is the better phone, though it has a questionable camera. Can't suggest the 5S simply cause it is not out yet nor will it be for a while. iOS will not be open source when the 5S debuts. Not even a possibility.
