Campden tablets Vs Metabisulphate - Wine making?

I had always believed one Campden tablet was the equivalent to one teaspoon of powdered metabisulphate - I now know this is wrong but am confused how much powder to use to a) kill wild yeast in fresh fruit and b) sterlise equipment...

Can someone please advise

Thank you!!

I used to make wine some years ago and I had a really good book called "The first steps in winemaking" by CJJ. Berry; if you haven't got a book, I'd suggest this book to you which you should have no problem getting.

Evidently, from Wikipedia, one teaspoon of metabisulphate is equivalent to ten Camden tablets.

One crushed Camden tablet should be enough to treat one gallon of the fruit must.
