If the almost $3.3 trillion in debt accumulated under Bush was “irresponsible” and “unpatriotic,” is Obama res?

obama is way out of his league being the president. He is incompetent and can't manage anything. He criticized Bush for MANY things that he went on to continue doing, and even more so than Bush ever did.

You are a bit low on the number. Two wars, two tax deductions, and an expensive prescription plan totaled out to be 10.626 Trillion put on credit card. Where ever you got your number is not from a reliable source. Go to a govt. website or fact check, or politifact, or any other neutrual website. 3 Trillion....my foot!

Bush ran up a huge bill when he was handed a balanced budget (or all but, if you want to be a naysayer, it was really close even)...

Obama received federal revenue spiraling down and expenses spiraling up... in a severe recession...

you're ignoring the context, which is EXTREMELY DIFFERENT FOR BOTH...

it's like saying "but you said shooting at someone was bad a year ago"

and the other person saying... "yeah, a year ago we were sitting on your couch in Texas, and now we're in the middle of a war in Afghanistan... the situation is pretty fundamentally different"

Because their guy did it. Funny, Reagan fixed Carter's mess without spending six trillion bucks. Obama hasn't fixed sh!t and has in fact made some things a whole lot worse -- and he has spent so much money we don't have that we'll never dig out from under it.

Questions like this completely ignore all of the pertinent facts, including the fact that when Obama said that, we were not in the midst of the worst recession in 3 generations, one that was teetering on depression. Questions like this are nothing but partisan sniping, with no thought behind them.

gwb nearly doubled the debt from $5.7T to $10.6T. That doesn't include the $5.1T he left off of the books for the next admin to find.
