Where would you look for a grant or scholarship for a specialist subject?
I am a member of a group considering to give a grant to people who do a project on our group subject as part of their (university) studies.
At the moment we are investigating the how and where to find the people who would be our targets and how to approach them.
The amount of money would be enough for a month or two rent and food money, not the kind of money for a year at university, so we need a way to announce our scholarship where people will look for a partial grant or scholarship.
I can not give details about the subject yet as we have not yet decided to go on with it, although there is a very good chance we will.
Our subject is not covered by just one field of study but is across many and we have tried by approaching professors, in two years time we have not been able to give away money.
So we now would like to try to get students to contact us with proposals.

since there would be a particular subject, I think I would go to professors who work with students in that subject area
