Good idea? How to get with her again?
So... We went out for about 6 months, she then went out with another guy (been going out for about 10 months now) but I still like her and I know she would still like me...
My idea is just to be mates with her and become the person she tells her problems to (about her bf) I can then show her, I'm better and slowly begin to get her comparing him to me until hopefully something happens?

Go for it. With a positive mental attitude like you have how can you lose. She was attracted to you to start so why did her attention wander elsewhere? Maybe you are too sure of yourself which can be a curse or a blessing. Good luck in winning her heart.
