I am a huge star trek fan and have always wondered what is wrong with Voyager?

I liked and felt that it was unorignal and had a good plot. I understand people are entitled to their opinion. But I just would like to know what was so bad about voyager.

There were some good episodes, but overall it didn't seem as if the crew was in too much danger, considerating their circumstances. The pilot episide had them lose a huge chunk of their crew, and then by the 3 episode it felt like just an average TNG episode. It would've been nice if it had more atmosphere like the Battlestar Galactica had, like they were fighting to survive every lightyear on the journey home.

For the most part I like Voyager. I didn't really like the earlier episodes though. It wasn't until Seven of Nine came aboard that the stories really became something to write home about. In my opinion Kes didn't add that much to the stories in those early years. The fact that Voyager went for seven years means that it couldn't have been that bad. Probably the only real criticism of the entire series is that it did feel a lot like Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Nothing is wrong with Voyager, except the ending was too contrived.

The Doctor and Seven of Nine were the best characters of any Trek series.

In any case, it beats the heck out of Deep Space Nine which shouldn't even be considered a Star Trek project.

Voyager was actually my personal favorite. Sometimes I wonder if people just were not ready for a female captain. Plus she was more of a fighter like Kirk rather than always the diplomat like Picard. That's just my opinion though.

Edit: I agree with what another person said. They should have shown them have more of a struggle for resources like food and fuel.
