The half life or longevity of Subutex?
Is the half life of a 4mg tablet of Subutex the same as a 1mg dose? Does a smaller dose block other opiates at the same efficacy as a larger dosage?

Subutex (buprenorphine) has the same half-life no matter what the dosage is. The half-life is for Subutex is 20–70 hours, mean 37 hours. Half-life means how long it takes for the blood concentration of a drug to be reduced in half.
As for a smaller dose blocking opiates with the same efficiency as a larger dose, it depends on each individuals opioid use history and tolerance. Some people find that a smaller dose of buprenorphine actually works better for them. It is different for each individual, so it is best to try out different doses to see what works best for you.
